Alexander Ermolenko, FBK Partner, Took Part in the Work of the Transneft Advisory Council

In Moscow the Transneft advisory council met to discuss the economic and investment aspects of fixing the rate for oil circulation through the trunk pipelines.

Alexander Ermolenko, FBK partner, head of the FBK Legal corporate practice, took part in the work of the Council. In his speech he made a survey of legislative aspects of the measures applied in Russia to regulate the tariffs for transportation of hydrocarbons, the mechanisms of setting up and fixing the rates for circulation of oil and petroleum products.

Within the framework of the meeting under consideration was the national policy on making tariffs for the circulation of oil and mineral oil; the plans to insert corrections into the Transneft investment program ensuing from the decision to “freeze” the national monopolies’ rates. Besides, under the discussion were the issues of cost optimization and Company’s organizational structure, and the evaluation was made of the international experience in regulating the rates of oil and petroleum products circulation.

The Transneft Advisory Council is an authoritative platform for discussing topical issues of the fuel and energy complex. The Advisory Council meets regularly and the representatives of the leading consulting companies, state administration bodies, Transneft top managers take part in its work.
