Vladimir Potekhin has worked in accounting and audit since 1996.

Experience

Vladimir has provided audit and advisory services to non-financial (manufacturing) and non-credit financial entities since 2002:

• supervising audits of financial statements prepared in accordance with IFRS Accounting Standards, including IPO support. A significant portion of Vladimir’s client portfolio constitute non-financial (manufacturing) public interest entities in the financial market;
• supervising audits of financial statements prepared in accordance with Russian accounting standards (RAS);
• supervising and participating in assignments involving the transition to International Standards on Auditing by non-financial (manufacturing) entities;
• advisory on the application of new IFRS Accounting Standards, namely IFRS 9 Financial Instruments, IFRS 15 Revenue from Contracts with Customers, etc.;
• advisory on the preparation of financial statements in accordance with RAS and IFRS Accounting Standards;
• supervising international audit engagements for multinational entities both as a component auditor and a group auditor.

A number of publications on IFRS Accounting Standards, Russian accounting at industrial entities, taxation, and business valuation.

Teaching engagement at the State University of Management (Moscow) and holding IFRS and accounting seminars.
