Experience
Elena has led audit engagements for both Russian accounting standards (RAS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS Accounting Standards) and complex and non-standard advisory projects; participated in legal proceedings as an accounting expert; as well as represented clients in negotiations with tax authorities and commercial disputes of economic entities.
Elena has accumulated significant experience in regulatory development in accounting and auditing, particularly in shaping federal accounting standards. Between 2020 and 2025, she served as Associate Director of the Department for Accounting, Financial Reporting, and Audit Regulation of the Ministry of Finance of Russia.
Elena contributes to advisory bodies and consultative groups on accounting, reporting, and auditing under the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, as well as to the collegial governing bodies of the Self-Regulatory Organization of Auditors Association "Sodruzhestvo". Currently, she is a member of the Accounting Standards Council under the Ministry of Finance of Russia, the State Financial Accounting Standards Council under the Ministry of Finance of Russia, the Interagency Working Group on IFRS Application under the Ministry of Finance of Russia, and the Interagency Working Group on Public Non-Financial Reporting Development under the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia.
A regular speaker at industry forums, conferences, corporate and public seminars. Elena remains active in academia with a focus on accounting and auditing at the Faculty of Economics of Lomonosov Moscow State University (currently serving as Associate Professor and Deputy Head for Development of the Accounting, Analysis, and Audit Department) and at the National Research University Higher School of Economics. Formerly served as Chief Methodologist at the Autonomous Non-Profit "Unified Attestation Commission". Elena is an author of more than 50 scientific and methodological works in accounting and auditing (including co-authored textbooks "Accounting and Analysis" and "Audit").
