Vladimir Skobarev has worked in audit and advisory since 1992.

Qualification and expertise

Experience

Vladimir has managed a variety of advisory engagements in accounting and reporting, financial and tax audit, tariff expert assessments, internal control and audit for top Russian companies.

Since 2006, he has provided sustainability services, such as preparation and assurance of non-financial reporting, cooperation with stakeholders, improvement of non-financial reporting systems, sustainability management, certified training courses in accordance with the GRI Standards, TCFD recommendations, and IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards.

He is the only specialist in Russia who is certified (both domestically and internationally) to conduct financial audit, internal audit and sustainability assurance at the same time.

He has experience managing sustainability projects, including assurance engagements under International Standards on Assurance Engagements (ISAE) 3000 and ISAE 3410 for sustainability reporting aligned with GRI, SASB, TCFD, International Integrated Reporting Framework (IIRC), Bank of Russia recommendations, etc.

Vladimir has conducted over 35 training sessions on GRI Standards, attended by approximately 500 employees and experts from industry leaders in Russia, Kazakhstan, and Armenia.

Vladimir has a number of publications on audit, internal control audit organisation and sustainability. He is involved in the development of international sustainability standards. A UN expert.

Responsibilities
As Head of the Corporate Governance and Sustainability Department, Vladimir Skobarev oversees the department’s day-to-day operations and the quality of audit and advisory services rendered.
