Alexander Grigoriev, Partner at FBK Legal, has spoken at the fifth international tax law forum titled “Tax Policy Trends in Current Economic Environment in Russia”, which was held at Kutafin Moscow State Law University. The forum was attended by public officials, scientists, lawyers, consultants, recent graduates and students of law universities.
Alexander Grigoriev spoke at the panel discussion titled “Building Trust to Mitigate Conflicts in Tax Relations” about mediation as an indicator of legal maturity and the framework for trust in tax relations.
“The idea of mediation is to broaden the information space of the conflict as much as possible, to allow the parties to hear each other, to understand actual interests and motives of the other party, because many conflicts are caused by the lack of information when people do not tell each other everything or misunderstand each other,” Alexander Grigoriev said.
The forum was supported by the Federal Tax Service of Russia, the Mediation Centre under the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs and the Commission on Finance Legislation of the Moscow Department of the Russian Association of Lawyers.
