Dmitry Livshin and Nina Khudyakova Speak at Conference ‘Russian ERP Systems’

23 march 2026

At the 19 March conference Dmitry Livshin, CEO of Cyber Business Consulting, and Nina Khudyakova, Partner at FBK, shared practical insights on choosing the right financial module architecture when implementing an ERP system.

In their report, the experts pointed out that ERP implementation projects are highly sensitive to how well a entity's management model aligns with the chosen solution architecture.

According to Nina Khudyakova, when helping FBK clients design the financial module architecture for their ERP implementation, the firm suggests addressing two sets of questions: methodological/organisational (e.g., ‘Is your operating model standardised or highly distributed?’ ‘How effective are interdepartmental interactions?’ ‘What degree of system customisation does the business require?’ ‘Is the company ready to invest substantial resources in user training and change management?’) and technical questions (‘How many external systems need to be integrated?’ ‘Does the company have internal IT competencies to support the system?’ etc.).

’Finding an answer to these questions will help opt for either a unified end-to-end architecture or a distributed one, each of which has its own pros and cons. As FBK's experience with major companies shows, choosing the right architecture is not merely a technical decision, it’s the foundation of success,’ the expert noted.
