FBK Accedes to Charter of Bona Fide Auditors

The Chair of the Board of Directors of the FBK audit and consulting group has signed the Charter of Bona Fide Auditors. So far, eight leading Russian audit firms have acceded to the document.

The purpose of the document is to unite market players to develop a set of measures aimed at promoting the audit profession as socially important for the Russian economy and economic security. The Charter provides for basic principles to be followed to improve prospects of Russian audit firms and create new professional opportunities ensuring the rule of law and economic growth in the country.

The main principles of the Charter are public interests before professional interests, and professional interests before corporate interests.

“The ultimate goal of the firms that acceded to the Charter is to work together to develop the Russian market of professional services, set high standards of fair competition and clear the industry from players that damage the reputation of the audit profession,” Sergey Shapiguzov says.
