The FBK audit and consulting group has announced the first results of a joint project with the Tax, Law and Business Analysis Faculty of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation.

As part of the project, in the summer of 2021 specialists of the International Financial Reporting and Assurance Department selected the best students that had completed their third year in the university. After an internship, they received on-the-job training in the department, which they combined with their studies at the university.

Then they prepared their undergraduate dissertations based on the guidelines received in the department and their own experience of working on real-life engagements.

The following students received excellent marks on their dissertations:

·        Vladislava Aleynik (graduated with distinction): Effect of IFRS 16 and RFAS 25 Application on Corporate Financial Statements

·        Milana Bekbuzarova (graduated with distinction): Application of New Audit Technologies

·        Nikita Krasavin (graduated with distinction): Analysis of Internal Control Effectiveness in Real Sector

·        Mirzabek Mirzoev (graduated with distinction): Remote Control and Audit Methods

·        Alexandra Prokhorova: Nuances of Audit at Groups of Companies

·        Anastasia Reznik (graduated with distinction): Evaluation of Internal Control Effectiveness of Audited Entity.

“We are satisfied with the first results of our project with the Financial University. The combination of academic approaches to specialist training with field experience has proven to be effective. That is why we plan to continue this project and is getting ready to select “the second wave” of young specialists, who will have an opportunity to work on the firm’s engagements next year and use that experience to prepare their dissertations,” says Leonid Savenkov, a Partner and the Head of Audit for High-Tech Companies at FBK.
