FBK Approved as Verifier of Green Financial Instruments
VEB.RF has approved a permanent list of verifiers for sustainable financial instruments. FBK is the only audit firm certified as a verifier of green financial instruments. Verifiers check bonds and loans for compliance with the green status according to the Russian national green finance methodology. The approved permanent list of verifiers is an important step forward in building up the Russian green finance system. Verifiers’ duties, requirements to them and the procedure for inclusion in the list of verifiers of green financial instruments are stipulated in the Resolution of the Government of the Russian Federation on Approval of Criteria for Sustainable (Including Green) Development Projects in the Russian Federation and Requirements to Verification of Sustainable (Including Green) Development Projects in the Russian Federation (Resolution No. 1587 dated 21 October 2021).
