FBK at IFRS and Management Accounting Conference 2018

FBK Grant Thornton has been a media partner of the IFRS and Management Accounting Conference 2018.

At the conference FBK Partner Vladimir Skobarev made a presentation titled “Financial Reporting and ESG Factors: the Present and the Future” dedicated to development prospects of corporate reporting of environmental, social and governance risks and opportunities.

Special attention was paid to recommendations of the international task force on climate-related financial disclosures. “Taking into account these recommendations in the years to come all companies that work in international capital markets will face an important challenge to develop methodology for assessing an impact of climate risks and reflect it in financial statements,” FBK Partner said.

Anastasia Terekhina, Senior Manager of the Department of Assurance and Advisory to Financial Institutions, moderated several sessions, including the one on a relevant topic of cybersecurity and the one on new international financial reporting standards.

Such conferences have been held since 2015. They are attended by financial directors of big companies and managers of economic departments, accountants, management accounting specialists, financial experts, economists, consultants, auditors and automation experts.
