FBK at the Ministry of Finance Meeting on Financial Control

Olga Popova, Manager of the Public Sector Advisory Department, participated in the meeting of the working group of the Russian Ministry of Finance on enhancement of public internal financial control which was dedicated to draft standards developed in cooperation with FBK Grant Thornton consultants.

“The concept suggested by FBK is aimed at making the system of control standards more comprehensive, which will serve as basis to enhance quality of work performed by federal, regional and municipal control bodies,” Olga Popova says.

The meeting of the working group was attended by the representatives of the Russian Ministry of Finance, managers and specialists of public financial control bodies of 24 federal subjects of Russia, as well as experts.

The working group was established by the Russian Ministry of Finance to share best practices and develop suggestions on public internal financial control organisation and implementation, as well as on improvement of related legislation.
