FBK completed the audit of largest companies in nuclear sector

FBK has accomplished an audit of the statements of the Rosatom companies.

The FBK audit team audited the 2015 financial statements prepared in accordance with RAS of a number of leading Rosatom companies, including, Rosenergoatom Concern (operation of NPP, power generation), TVEL, JSC (nuclear fuel manufacturing), Atomflot, SUE (operation and maintenance of a nuclear icebreaker fleet), uranium enrichment plants, NPP equipment manufacturers and a number of sector research institutions and research and development institutions, including N.A. Dollezhal Research and Development Institute of Power Engineering, JSC (NIKIET), Afrikantov Experimental Design Bureau for Mechanical Engineering, JSC and some others.

According to Natalya Kulakova, the engagement leader and Associate Director of the RAS Audit Department, the audit engagements accomplished at the Rosatom companies were the last year’s landmark projects. Successful completion of the work, says Natalya Kulakova, has been made possible by a highly experienced team with a vast expertise in auditing nuclear sector companies, in-depth understanding of the special aspects of their operation and high proficiency.

Rosatom Nuclear Energy Corporation unites civil companies of the Russian nuclear sector, defense nuclear facilities companies, research and development organisations and a nuclear icebreaker fleet. Rosatom is the Russia’s largest generating company, maintains leadership in the world’s nuclear technologies market, contributing a 40-percent share to the world’s uranium enrichment services market and 17-percent share of the nuclear fuel market.
