FBK Completes Gazprom Review Audit for H1 2017

FBK auditors have finalized a review audit of Gazprom's IFRS-based interim consolidated financial statements for the first half of 2017.

"Auditing Gazprom statements is a complex and laborious project," said Askold Birin, FBK Partner and head of the International Accounting Department. "However, FBK has gained huge experience in IFRS auditing, including for fuel and energy companies, which helps us implement projects of any scale with flying colours."

FBK won an open tender for auditing Gazprom financial statements in 2015. Since then, the company's experts have been doing quarterly review audits as well as the audit of Gazprom's annual consolidated financial and accounting reports. Gazprom has been FBK's client since 1996.

Gazprom is among the world's largest fuel and energy companies and possesses one of the planet's largest reserves of natural gas. The company was established in 1993 from assets of the Russian Ministry of Gas Industry. It specializes in geological survey, production, transport, storage, processing and sales of gas, gas condensate and oil, as well as in production and sales of heat and power.
