FBK CyberSecurity at DefCon Moscow 2018

FBK CyberSecurity has participated in DefCon Moscow 2018, the fifteenth meeting of IT security experts. 

FBK CyberSecurity’s experts Andrey Skuratov and Sergey Migalin spoke about DNS tunnelling. They talked about a technique to tunnel arbitrary traffic through the DNS protocol, provided an overview of existing solutions and demonstrated their own open-source product.

“First of all, our research was aimed to get rid of the problems that we face in real projects. There are no solutions available on the market that would suit our needs, that is why we decided to make it ourselves. At DefCon we publicly presented our product for the first time. And it should be noted that it aroused great interest. In an informal conversation with the attendees we continued to discuss the specifics of the utility, potential improvements of the functionality in the future and other technical issues,” said Andrey Skuratov, FBK CyberSecurity’s IT Security Expert.

DefCon Moscow 2018 was held at the Congress Centre of Moscow Technical University of Communications and Informatics and brought together IT security experts.
