FBK Partner Irina Dubinina has participated in a meeting of the Collegium of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan also featuring Rustam Minnikhanov, Rais (Head) of the Republic of Tatarstan. The meeting was held within the framework of the Fourth Designated Agricultural Exhibition of Agricultural Achievements “TatAgroExpo”.

Irina Dubinina presented the draft Agro-Industrial Complex Development Strategy for Tatarstan until 2030 developed by FBK specialists together with Kazan State Agrarian University.

In her speech, Irina Dubinina noted that the Agro-Industrial Complex Development Strategy for Tatarstan sets a rather ambitious goal — not just to keep up, but to outrun other territories of Russia. One of the main drivers will be the accelerated growth of the food and processing industry through investment in agro-processing, including advanced processing of grain and milk.

In order to identify priority areas for the development of the agro-industrial complex of Tatarstan, FBK specialists conducted a strategic analysis of the industry, as well as surveys on the agribusiness players, and interviewed heads of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan. In September 2023, FBK consultants hosted strategic sessions featuring the business community, regional and municipal authorities, and academic institutions of the Republic of Tatarstan. Following wide-ranging discussions, they were able to determine the strategic goal, priority areas of development and measures of state support for the agro-industrial complex of Tatarstan.

“To make sure that this Strategy does not remain ink on paper and is in fact adopted as a basis for further development of the agro-industrial complex of Tatarstan, it’s crucial to ensure an efficient control and monitoring system, feedback, regular communication with all stakeholders, and completely open discussion of the results achieved”, Irina Dubinina said.
