FBK Grant Thornton at ACCA Members’ Meeting on Ethics

Anastasia Terekhina, FBK GT’s Deputy Director of Assurance and Advisory to Financial Institutions, has participated in the meeting of ACCA members to celebrate the Global Ethics Day. 

She spoke about ethics in the audit community and explained how to find a balance between obligations towards the client and requirements of regulators.

“External auditors should act not only for the benefit of their audit clients but also for the benefit of the society on the whole and other users of financial statements. Audit and advisory are one of the few business areas that have international ethics standards, which were used to draft the Russian Code of Professional Ethics for Auditors. The code is often helpful to find answers to complicated ethical dilemmas,” she said.
