FBK, the only Russian company certified as a GRI Training Partner, has provided a training course based on the GRI Sustainability Reporting Standards in cooperation with FBK Economic and Law School.
According to FBK Partner Vladimir Skobarev, the Public Non-Financial Reporting Concept had been approved in Russia. This concept provides for a phased increase in the number of large Russian companies that are obliged to prepare and publish such reporting.
“That is why it is getting a great deal more important to train specialists who are able to meet this challenge. Certified trainings held by FBK within the framework of the GRI Global Program make it possible for those who start preparation of non-financial reporting to obtain basic knowledge and for those who already have some experience to compare applied methods with GRI approaches and business practices of other colleagues,” Vladimir Skobarev said.
Upon completion of the training course its participants received GRI Certified Training Program Certificates.
A two-day training course has been based on the business practices of leading Russian and international companies in respect of public non-financial reporting. All its stages were discussed at the seminar, including planning, communication with stakeholders, defining of reported issues, monitoring and reporting.
