The Accounting Advisory Department and the International Financial Reporting and Assurance Department have delivered an interactive training seminar for Gazprom Energoholding, one of the firm’s big clients. They shared their insights into the application of Russian Accounting Standards and International Financial Reporting Standards, as well as the impact of COVID-19 on financial reporting.
FBK GT’s experts explained how to apply new standards to compensate for the lack of established solutions and unambiguous answers. The seminar also focused on the impact of COVID-19 on reported items.
Ksenia Shirikova, the moderator of the seminar, says that the firm organised such a big event for the first time. “We had to engage many FBK GT’s experts—auditors, advisers, methodology experts and valuers—to answer all difficult questions from the clients,” she said.
Elena Tyutyunnikova, the Director of Accounting Advisory Services, Roman Kenigsberg, the Director of Internal Audit and Risk Management Services, as well as Associate Directors Ksenia Shirikova and Elena Shcherbacheva, and Senior Managers Elena Kushnareva and Ekaterina Bukova spoke at the seminar attended by chief accountants and managers of departments in charge of RAS and IFRS financial reporting at Gazprom Energohoding, Mosenergo, MIPC, TGK-1, OGK-2, and REP Holding. Overall, about 60 people participated in the event.
