Vladimir Skobarev, a Partner at FBK Grant Thornton, and Elena Pertseva, the Deputy Director of Corporate Governance and Sustainability Services, have spoken at the 37th session of the Intergovernmental Working Group of Experts on International Standards of Accounting and Reporting (ISAR 37). That session hosted by the UN office in Geneva was held as a virtual meeting of 370 experts from all around the world.
Under the agenda item titled “Climate-related financial disclosures in mainstream entity reporting: Good practices and key challenges”, experts of FBK Grant Thornton spoke about generally accepted sustainability reporting systems used to prepare reports in accordance with recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD).
“Our analysis shows that it is possible to use reports prepared in accordance with the GRI and CDP Standards at the initial stage of the TCFD reporting development,” Vladimir Skobarev said.
The Intergovernmental Working Group of Experts on International Standards of Accounting and Reporting is the United Nations focal point on accounting and corporate governance matters.
