FBK hosted DIRECTUM-2015 Welcome Day

The FBK Department for Information Technologies and Information Systems Implementation participated in an annual conference DIRECTUM-2015 Welcome Day, a live online event which took place on 18 November 2015 at 28 venues in 22 cities of Russia and Russia’s near abroad.

As explained by Elena Solomatina, Director of the Information Technologies Department, the online session offered a variety of engaging reports. The vendor spokespeople told the audience about the key trends in document workflow management, dwelt on special aspects of a new version of ECM – DIRECTUM 5.2, shared knowledge on enablement costs optimisation.

User companies shared their practices in implementing and using DIRECTUM-based solutions, features of an ECM facility specific to various sectors of economic activities.

The FBK speakers, Elena Solomatina, Director of the Information Technologies Department, Ilya Chechil, Senior Consultant and Eleonora Zilberman, Consultant of the Department, spoke on the specifics of workflow management, shared a number of nonroutine DIRECTUM-based solutions implemented at FBK to facilitate the in-house workflow management and told about added functionalities now available through DIRECTUM RX cloud facility.

Elena Solomatina went on to say, «We participate regularly in DIRECTUM Welcome Day events. This year as well as previously we hosted the event as an organising partner. As many as 40 companies, organisations and higher education institutions were willing to attend the event at our place, at the FBK head office in Myasnitskaya Street. We are happy and committed to sharing our knowledge and practices with expert ECM users as well as with entry-level users. We may righteously claim bragging rights over our rivals as some of our proprietary DIRECTUM-based solutions are unique in kind».

Among successfully accomplished projects mentioned by Elena Solomatina are electronic records management for the Public Records Office which is now able to keep over ten millions records; workflow management for a B2C cleaning company which facilitates management of incoming diverse requests and relevant staff recruitment; workflow management and selection of services suppliers for a Top 10 multinational advertising agency; and a number of other projects tailored for banks, energy companies, defence sector, mechanical engineering, retailers and service companies.
