FBK Legal Participates in Tax Conference

FBK Legal’s Senior Lawyer Ekaterina Subbotina has participated in a conference titled “Taxes-2022”, which was organised by the Kommersant publishing house.

The event traditionally brought together top Russian corporate lawyers and tax advisers, as well as public officials, who discussed latest changes in tax regulation and operation amid sanctions. Conference attendees focused on international institutions, tax, criminal, corporate law and business relocation issues. They also discussed recent court judgements.

Ekaterina Subbotina analysed tax consequences and opportunities as a result of foreign companies leaving Russia in 2022. She shared her insights into structuring of intellectual property transfers and income transfers in view of companies’ sanctions requirements. The lawyer underlined that these kinds of deals are unprecedented in Russia and certainly need to be clarified by regulators.
