FBK Legal’s Partner Alexander Grigoriev at Tax Policy and Tax Disputes Conference

Alexander Grigoriev, FBK Legal’s Partner for Tax Services, has spoken at a conference titled “Tax Policy and Tax Disputes 2021–2022”, which was organised by Pravo.ru. Attendees of the event discussed new initiatives announced by the tax legislator and regulator, latest tax policy trends and recent court findings, as well as covered a topic of corporate tax compliance in current circumstances.

Alexander Grigoriev participated in a session dedicated to tax compliance and criminal risk mitigation by speaking about different understanding of tax compliance. He said that compliance is part of the internal control system. It has five components, control environment being the main one.

“We need to create an environment that will facilitate compliance with regulatory requirements and support the internal control system,” Alexander Grigoriev said.

In his opinion, it is necessary to develop standards of conduct, ethics and employment, and hold regular training courses to preserve that environment.
