FBK Partner Ksenia Shirikova on Gazprom Neft Group 2023 Audit Results

FBK has taken part in the annual conference ‘Accounting and Reporting. Summing Up 2023’ hosted by PJSC Gazprom Neft, which took place on 23 April. Ksenia Shirikova, Partner, Associate Director of the International Financial Reporting and Assurance Department, presented the results of the audit of Gazprom Neft Group's IFRS consolidated financial statements for 2023.

In her speech, Ksenia reviewed the key aspects of the Gazprom Neft Group's audit and the factors that ensured efficiency of this audit under very tight deadlines. In particular, risk-based approach helped reduce time and labour costs, while early notification of the auditor by the client of new and atypical situations made it possible to correct deficiencies right in the course of the audit. One of the key tasks of FBK within its audit of the Gazprom Neft Group's consolidated financial statements was to provide clarifications and recommendations to ensure compliance with the new requirements of the Russian legislation and IFRS Accounting Standards, which facilitated generation of more useful information in the Gazprom Neft Group's financial statements.
