The webinar took place on 28 May as part of the support programme for participants of the National Award ‘LEADERS OF RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS’ and served as a hands-on response to the needs voiced by heads of industry and regional employer associations.
During the session, the expert delved into latest requirements and recommendations for report preparation, discussed methodologies for disclosing sustainability metrics, and answered questions from attendees. Vladimir Skobarev also shed light on key changes in the regulatory environment, including instructions from the President of the Russian Federation, requirements of the Bank of Russia, and the new Public Business Capital Standard.
The session further explored the key stages of the reporting process — from materiality assessment and stakeholder engagement to independent assurance. Particular emphasis was placed on how non-financial reporting is evolving into a tool for risk management and strengthening business reputation.
‘Non-financial reporting is not just a formal requirement, but a strategic management tool. When a company systematically discloses information about its impact on the economy, society, and the environment, it not only strengthens stakeholder trust but also gains the ability to make more balanced management decisions,’ Vladimir Skobarev pointed out.
