FBK to Audit DIA

Specialists of the FBK General Audit Department will carry out the audit of the Deposit Insurance Agency State Corporation financial statements prepared in accordance with RAS for 2014.

“We carried out the audit of financial statements for 2013, and this year our company has also been announced the winner in the open competition for services. The selection of FBK as the auditor of financial statements for 2014 is a proof of high quality of the work we carry out in the field of checking the Agency’s financial reporting”, says Natalia Kulakova, the General Audit Department deputy director heading the project.

According to her, the project under implementation is difficult and interesting: DIA and its activities are unique for Russia that is why to analyze the Agency’s operations some non typical methods are developed on the basis of standards and applied allowing to carry out an efficient audit in order to express an auditor’s opinion on the assurance of Agency’s reporting.

Deposit Insurance Agency State Corporation (DIA) was set up in 2004. To ensure functioning of the deposit insurance system the Agency provides compensation payments to depositors in case of the insured accidents. Along with that DIA carries out the function of banks financial rehabilitation.
Agency’s activities are regulated by the Federal Law “On insurance of deposits of physical persons in the Russian Federation”.
