The FBK experts have been engaged to evaluate the investments of AO Rusatom Overseas into the construction of foreign nuclear power plants.

As explained by Alexander Matyushin, Associate Director of Valuation Practice at FBK, the engagement is truly large-scale. Rusatom Overseas is currently a co-founder and co-owner of a large number of foreign nuclear power plant and other nuclear facilities which are being built and operated conjointly with Russian stakeholders. The company’s investment targets are, inter alia, the Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant (Turkey), the Hanhikivi-1 Nuclear Power Plant (Finland), the Ninh Thuan Nuclear Power Plant (Vietnam), the Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant (Bangladesh), totalling 29 power generation plants in more than a dozen of countries across the world.

Alexander Matyushin went on to say that ‘specific nature of the nuclear sector has its bias on the project implementation as construction of nuclear facilities in a given country is regulated by this country legislation as well as by the international treaties. We are, nevertheless, success-oriented. Since 2004, we have accomplished dozens of engagements and gained unique expertise in nuclear sector’.

JSC «Rusatom Overseas» is a subsidiary of the State Corporation Rosatom founded with the aim to promote international business of Rosatom Corporation.
