FBK to Provide External Assurance of Gazprom Sustainability Reporting

FBK has signed a contract to provide external assurance of the 2017 sustainability report prepared by PJSC Gazprom.

FBK Partner Vladimir Skobarev points out that Gazprom has published sustainability reports since 2008. The decision to obtain external assurance of such public report provides for improvement of its quality and is instrumental to increase investment attractiveness of Gazprom Group.

“Information which may be found in sustainability reports, for example, about environmental and social programmes, has an impact, among other things, on the formation of the company’s value,” says Vladimir Skobarev.

FBK has cooperated with Gazprom since 1996 and provided audit services to the largest entities of the group. Since 2015 FBK has won annual open tenders to audit the statutory financial statements of PJSC Gazprom, the consolidated accounting reports of Gazprom Group and the IFRS consolidated financial statements of Gazprom Group.
