FBK to Review Development Options for ALROSA Transport Infrastructure

The FBK Company proceeded to the implementation of the project on the assessment of practicability and technical-economic efficiency of ALROSA river craft modernization options.

According to Andrey Rekshinsky, Management Advisory Director heading the project, the new rules governing the running of river vessels can affect the ability of ALROSA to deliver goods in the period of summer navigation and, specifically, the delivery of light oils (gasoline and dieseloil).

“We were invited to make assessment of what freight options available to ALROSA, either by means of the own fleet or other ship operators of the Lena basin, were most efficient and ensured the required delivery volume,” said Andrey Rekshinsky. “Successful operation of the ALROSA enterprises in the Lena river basin, including their economic performance, largely depends on which transportation logistics option is selected, in particular, whether the ALROSA-Lena Shipping Company will be able to optimize their business process and reconstruct the vessels”.
