FBK took part in the annual all-Russia conference of “DIRECTUM open days: 5D dimension”

The conference was held on 30 sites in 21 cities of Russia and the CIS countries and was devoted to the demonstration of the new capabilities of DIRECTUM 5.0 system and the description of specific features of Extra ECM content management system.

FBK traditionally takes part in the DIRECTUM conferences and invites to the participation all those interested in expanding their knowledge about the systems of electronic document circulation and content management.

The FBK Fireplace hall convened the representatives of companies and organizations that have already implemented or are planning to use DIRECTUM SEDC.
The DIRECTUM manages and developers spoke about the new capabilities of their products. The audience communicated with the vendor’s experts in a video-conference mode. The audience listened to competent commentaries on the new modules of the system: improved web-accessibility and web-office, about solutions for mobile devices, about the feasibility of building a corporate social network on the basis of DIRECTUM.

FBK specialists also presented their reports. They spoke about the projects implemented by FBK, their specifics, the economic effect the client companies benefited from.
Boris Gustyakov, consultant for the department of corporate management systems, spoke about the implementation of a “Contractor’s comprehensive examination” module at a large advertizing-media holding, which makes it possible to govern the policy of contracting, is helpful to the managers in making reasoned decisions about collaboration with the contracting parties, improves the efficiency of contractual work. The module includes different tools to manage the document circulation within the organization (routes), defines the powers of clients’ experts in appraising the contractor.
In the project client’s opinion, the implementation of the module resulted in 80% acceleration of the contractor’s comprehensive examination procedure, the process of examination has become more transparent and manageable, and decision making about getting to work with some or other contractor has changed for a better-structured and grounded process.

Alexander Yudakov, the DCMS manager, acquainted the audience with the solution of “Agreement and invoice reconciliation”: the solution allows synchronizing on the DIRECTUM basis of information about the agreements and payments against them as registered in accounting system used by the company, and here the DIRECTUM is used as the “access system” and the records are used for the specific data treatment.
In the opinion of the customer, the product improves the ease-of-use for the company’s accounting and financial services, diminishes the number of payment errors.

According to Elena Solomatina, FBK department of corporate management systems director, the conference was a success. From year to year they become richer of content and the audience convened at the FBK office is more interested and professional. It is shown by the growth of the number of participants and questions asked. FBK participation in such conferences makes it possible to establish direct contacts with representatives of the companies willing to develop their IT infrastructure, estimate the capabilities of systems in the market and their applicability to the own objectives.
“It is not only important what electronic document circulation system you introduce, but also who introduces the system. Is the person adequately experienced? With sufficient competence in methodology? Do they do system follow-up and update? Is the implemented system capable of solution scaling and modification ensuing from the changes in the organization activities? Can your implementers draw specialists from the allied fields to the project: management accounts, business and tax accounting, other consultants to achieve maximum effect of the implementation?” said E. Solomatina. “These are the capabilities we tried to focus our audience on during the conference”.
