“Law on personal data: problems in practical implementation”. FBK view

On October 5, 2011 a business breakfast “Law on personal data: problems in practical implementation” was held by FBK in Daev Plaza center. FBK experts and FBK Legal lawyers presented their ideas of the most significant legal novelties associated with launching of the Federal Law dated July 25, 2011 N 261 – FZ On Introducing Amendments to the Federal Law on Personal Data.

The experts concurred that the amended law On Personal Data got more similar with its European equivalent. However it still does not enough consider specifics of work of Russian entities and at times sets rather complicated questions before them. Sector specifics does not always find response in provisions of law.

About 50 representatives of the largest Russian and international companies attended the event.
