Rospotrebnadzor and FBK Presented their Report on Consumer Protection in the Financial Sector

A conference was held at the MIA Russia Today press center within the framework of which a public report was presented “On the state of consumer protection in 2014”.  It was prepared by Rospotrebnadzor with the assistance of FBK under the “Russian Federation: Financial Education and Financial Literacy Project” of the Russian Ministry of Finance and the IBRD.

At the conference presentations were made by Anna Zelentsova, the Project strategic partner, Oleg Prusakov, the Rospotrebnadzor head of consumer protection, Dmitry Yanin, Chairman of the Board of KonfOP, and other participants in the Project.



“We have worked with Rospotrebnadzor since 2012, and that is our third public report about the protection of rights of financial service consumers prepared by the supervising body with our participation, remarked Andrey Sinyagin, FBK Public Sector Advisory Director, who acted as the moderator at the conference. “That report was designed for a wide range of users. It opens the possibility of public discussion of most urgent consumer protection issues in the sector of financial services”.
