On July 5, a session of FBK Economic Club was held, a new research of FBK audit and consulting company Progress Rating was presented there. Based upon the results of the world’s most famous ratings dedicated to various development aspects of the countries of the world, FBK experts compiled the first integrated rating. 101 countries are ranged there according to aggregate changes of positions in all ratings for the last five years. According to Director of FBK Strategic Analysis Department, Igor Nikolaev, thus the Progress Rating shows what way and how fast the national economies were developing, so it can be used as a tool for forecasting.
Throughout this time Russia lost 97 positions on the whole, taking the 97th position in the Progress Rating. The last positions are occupied by Venezuela, Nicaragua, Ukraine and Bolivia. The first three positions in the Progress Rating are occupied by Georgia, Macedonia and Dominican Republic. Norway, USA, Australia, New Zealand, Austria, Great Britain, Japan, Germany, France, Canada (Progress Index – from 12 to 12). Changes in development dynamics of these countries are minor, so even the crisis had no considerable impact.
