The FBK experts participated as speakers in a Gazprom seminar event

The Gazprom leading experts and heads of business units, the FBK experts and the FBK Legal lawyers, the Finance Ministry and the Russian Federal Tax Service officers took part in a seminar & meeting event in Moscow on transfer pricing issues.

The event was designed to bring together tax experts from the Gazprom administration and its subsidiaries. 

Galina Akchurina, a FBK partner, Head of Tax Litigation Practice at FBK Legal spoke on the Litigation Trends in Tax Measures to Control Transaction Prices and specifically dwelt on the 2015 developments in the area of price control for tax treatment purposes, latest tax litigation alerts and the stance of the Finance Ministry and the FTS on the issue in question.

Alesya Khomich, Senior Expert, Tax Advice Department at FBK Legal, spoke about the issues of grounds behind and recognition criteria applied to controlled transactions and the cases where the amount of a controlled transaction may be subject to change by the parties.

The experts of the FBK Financial Consulting Department Zlata Marenkova, who double-jobbed as a discussion moderator, and Alexey Anishchenko, told the participants about the application of tax price control regulations, advantages of the use of external information sources in preparing transfer pricing documentation. The experts also considered a case study involving the Gazprom Group transactions to analyse alternative ways of paperwork management for controlled transactions.

The Q&A session on transfer pricing as part of dedicated interactive workshops featured, among other participants, Tatiana Matveicheva, Head of Tax Consulting Practice at FBK Legal, and Alexey Borisov, a leading expert of the Audit and Consulting Services to Financial Institutions Department.
