VIII INTAX EXPO Annual Exhibition -Conference: a new look at the tax jurisdictions

Late in September the VIII INTAX EXPO Annual Exhibition-Conference was held in Moscow.
Nadezhda Orlova, FBK Legal Managing Partner, and Dmitry Paramonov, the leading lawyer of the FBK Legal Tax Consulting Practice took part in the event.
According to the FBK Legal specialists who visited the exhibition, the participation in it allows expanding the range of professional contacts, share useful information with the colleagues, and present the services of FBK Legal to potential partners.
Nadezhda Orlova believes that personal communication at the exhibition is conducive to the establishment of closer and more trust-worthy contacts, expands the geography for cooperation and opportunities to work on the tax planning and structuring both in Russia and other countries.
The total number of participants from over 30 countries registered at the INTAX 2013 was over 500 people.
In the course of the conference most topical issues of tax planning were touched upon: the situation in Cyprus, the requirements to data interchange, fighting against money laundering in the banking and juridical sectors, the tax optimization tools proposed by different jurisdictions (Malta, the UAE, Hong-Kong, Latvia and Austria).
Special attention was paid to various programs of getting the second citizenship offered by Panama, St. Kitts and Nevis, as well as by a number of European jurisdictions. The off-shore as an instrument of tax planning was not neglected either.
