Assessment of the maturity of organisational internal control

Assessment of the maturity of an organisation’s internal control (IC) is the process of determining its maturity and effectiveness. It identifies internal control’s strengths and areas in need of improvement, evaluates the organisation’s efficiency within the current legislation framework, and optimises business processes.

Areas of work in IC maturity assessment:
  • Assessment of internal control’s maturity:
    • Defining the objectives and scope of the assessment.
    • Analysing internal regulatory documents for internal control compliance with business needs and best practices.
    • Conducting interviews with personnel responsible for internal control to gather insights on its current state.
    • Selecting a methodology for evaluating IC maturity.
    • Assessing the IC maturity level and its compliance with organisational goals.
    • Development of recommendations for IC improvement.
Upon completion of the IC maturity assessment, the client receives:
  • Evaluation of the IC maturity level.
  • List of deviations from IC target maturity criteria (if identified).
