Independent assurance of reporting, systems, and processes consists of the following stages:
- Preliminary work: Planning and analysis of the control environment.
- Information collection and analysis: Review of corporate documentation, internal and external reporting, and interviews with management representatives and reporting team members.
- Independent verification: Independent assessment of data reliability, materiality, completeness, accuracy and reasonableness of reported information, and its compliance with standards.
- Reporting: Issuance of an assurance opinion and a management report with observations and improvement recommendations.
