Date of publication
06.06.2013
On 5 June FBK Auditing and Consulting Company Management Board took a decision to establish, on the basis of the Strategic Analysis Department, the FBK Institute of Strategic Analysis. It will be headed by Igor Nikolayev, FBK Partner, who has been heading the Strategic Analysis Department since it was set up in 2000.
‘Establishment of the FBK Institute of Strategic Analysis is the institutionalization of a well-known fact: under the FBK brand an influential think tank was formed whose research findings are used both by Government and businesses’, says Sergey Shapiguzov, FBK President. According to him, for the last years over 50 analytical materials have been prepared. Among them are such scale ones as ‘How much Russia costs’ and the ‘Second breath’ program for social and economic development of Russia, as well as such reports as ‘Bank rates and business activity’, ‘Economic differentiation of regions: evaluations, dynamics, comparisons’, ‘Progress rating’, and many others. ‘Independent analytical evaluation, the attempting to ‘count the uncountable’, topicality and a wide range of subjects, a lot of actual material – all of these are distinctive features of our reports and one of the embodiments of Company’s missions – to contribute to the development of an open market economy in Russia in every possible way’, FBK President emphasized.
According to Igor Nikolayev, the FBK Institute of Strategic Analysis Director, the organizational changes are connected with the plans for work extension. ‘In our nearest plans there are a number of major research projects, which, I hope, will be of interest to all those who take an interest in the state of Russian economy’, noted I. Nikolayev.
