FBK Supports Corporate Governance Workshop

On 19 April, with FBK’s support, Vladimir Verbitsky held an author's workshop titled “... FROM IDEAL TO REAL... evidence-based corporate governance”.

During the event, the author shared his many years of experience in mastering and applying the scientific basics of creating organisational and technical management systems as applied to corporate governance systems.

The attendees learnt about the specifics of implementing corporate governance standards in functioning Russian companies, practical cases of synthesis/building PhICS models of corporate governance systems, as well as about the best corporate governance QA tools, including assessment of performance of boards of directors. They also discussed key performance indicators, i.a. corporate governance rating, which allow to measure corporate governance efficiency level and achievement of the company's goals. 

The workshop featured FBK partners.

Sergey Shapiguzov, Chairman of the Board of Directors at FBK, stressed the significance of corporate governance as a way to improve the efficiency of a company's executive body and top management, as well as to maximise its strengths and increase its business value.

In his speech, Vladimir Skobarev, FBK Partner and Head of the Corporate Governance and Sustainability Services Department, noted that effective corporate governance is an important element of ESG business strategies.

“Events like this facilitate promotion of proven corporate governance practices, which in their turn help companies rise up to the challenges of external environment, maintain their investment attractiveness, and deliver on their plans and goals both in the short and long term,” Vladimir Skobarev said.
